Because last weekend was Golden's birthday, I didn't want to leave him behind. So I dragged Nick, and baby with me on this trip. It was so refreshing to get to the ocean, and feel all the life in this beautiful city. The best thing was being able to laugh and explore Seattle with my best friend, and being able to give Gold some "one on one" attention. The kid didn't know what to do with himself. For fun, we let him eat lemons, and suckers just to see his face expressions. We decided we are going to take each of our children on a trip by themselves every year.... feed them funny things and take pictures of the faces they make. FUN!
Kung-fu movies are a major food group in our family. I rarely see Nick jazzed about site seeing, or taking pictures, but we visited Bruce and Brandon Lee's grave site......I could see the awe in his eyes. I think he might have authored the letter above, while I was getting things from the car. Nick is also not very "up" on homeless/stranger/homelessstranger... protocol. The picture above is classic. I walked away for 5 seconds, and Nick got tangled up in an uncomfortable good deed. He let a "STRANGER" borrow his phone.....this "STRANGER" was full of borderline inappropriate compliments for me.....and fists full of phone numbers. We waited longer than we should have to get the phone back. Parking in Seattle-6.00 an hour. Random "STRANGER" cell phone charges-.25. That expression on Nick's face-PRICELESS!
